Strengthening

Community

Wellbeing

The Project 8B Foundation envisions a world where eight billion people live more days feeling good about being themselves. We advance this vision by investing in caring bridge-builders—people who strengthen connection, expand human capacity, and help communities function with greater trust and care.

Caring bridge-builders are rooted in connection. They extend compassion and kindness in practical, everyday ways. They increase access to community capital—time, tools, relationships, and support—that sustains families, neighbors, and shared wellbeing. They recognize their personal responsibility and opportunity to improve the human experience where they live, work, and serve.

The Project 8B Foundation was established in 2023 following cross-sector conversations convened in Idaho. Leaders across education, health, business, and community identified growing strain within systems and a clear need to invest in people as contributors to community wellbeing. These conversations clarified a path forward grounded in care, connection, and community-driven solutions that support participation, contribution, and shared responsibility.

How We Work

Project 8B Foundation strengthens community wellbeing through two interconnected approaches.

Narrative change
We support language, stories, and shared understanding that recognize care, connection, and contribution as essential forms of leadership and value.

Workforce capacity building
We invest in practical tools, training, and support that help people build the skills needed to support mental, emotional, and relational wellbeing in everyday life.

Together, these approaches strengthen the human infrastructure that communities rely on to function well.

Why Idaho

Idaho is where this work began and where it continues to grow. Strong relationships, cross-sector collaboration, and community trust make it possible to learn, refine, and demonstrate what strengthens community wellbeing in real time.

Insights developed in Idaho inform how this approach can be shared with other communities while remaining grounded in local context and human connection.
